About The Position

This person performs maintenance on properties owned by the organization. The role involves assisting in the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems, responding promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, and assisting in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with equipment and systems. The individual will maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, and keep maintenance areas clean and organized. Additional tasks may include performing needed repairs on properties, such as minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, drywall, and maintenance of heating and cooling systems. The role also involves assisting with snow removal of sidewalks and walking areas, inspecting assigned buildings regularly, documenting the status of equipment and systems, checking for needed repairs, and performing necessary preventative maintenance. The individual will participate in Licensure/Medicaid inspections relating to facility issues, check safety systems and devices for operational effectiveness, and represent the interests of NCC in an appropriate and professional manner. Evaluating the performance of contractors who perform work on NCC properties, completing required paperwork, and reporting to the CEO are also part of the job. The individual will identify required maintenance to prevent unanticipated breakdowns or unsafe conditions, take necessary steps to correct identified deficiencies, and immediately notify the CEO of any safety hazards. Maintaining an inventory of supplies, operating tools and equipment safely, maintaining all equipment owned by Northeast Care Center, and performing monthly vehicle inspections are additional responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable under NCC standards.

  • Experience in estimating and contracting for services.
  • Knowledge of basic code requirements for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems installation and repair.

  • Ability to diagnose and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
