Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of semiskilled work in servicing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulics and other mechanical equipment.
  • Perform semiskilled building maintenance and repair requiring a working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work.
  • Record, log, and maintain required maintenance reports and records.
  • Work from work orders, drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams in addition to written and verbal instructions.
  • Install new or relocate existing machinery, equipment and other accessories.
  • Install, maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic and other production and service systems.
  • Tear down, troubleshoot faulty operation, repair or replace worn or defective parts; reassemble and adjust for proper operation.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery, equipment, facilities; install switches, lighting fixtures, replace fuses and faulty wiring;
  • Maintain and repair plumbing, roofs, floors, walls, and parking facilities.
  • Maintain grounds and keep outside facilities and structures in proper condition.
  • Repair plant and office structures, furnishings and the like.
  • Use forklift, pulleys, and other lift equipment as necessary to move and position parts and materials.
  • Detect and report faulty equipment, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Setup and operate grinders, drill presses, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.
  • Perform duties of electric/acetylene welding and torch cutting.
  • Has the authority to stop the process if a safety or a quality issue arises in order to inform supervision to make a decision.
  • Observe all prescribed environmental, health and safety rules & regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition. Exercise proper care and safety in the use of power tools, equipment and materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
  • Collaborate with production staff to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
