About The Position

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of semiskilled work in servicing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulics and other mechanical equipment.
Perform semiskilled building maintenance and repair requiring a working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work.
Record, log, and maintain required maintenance reports and records.
Work from work orders, drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams in addition to written and verbal instructions.
Install new or relocate existing machinery, equipment and other accessories.
Install, maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic and other production and service systems.
Tear down, troubleshoot faulty operation, repair or replace worn or defective parts; reassemble and adjust for proper operation.
Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery, equipment, facilities; install switches, lighting fixtures, replace fuses and faulty wiring;
Maintain and repair plumbing, roofs, floors, walls, and parking facilities.
Maintain grounds and keep outside facilities and structures in proper condition.
Repair plant and office structures, furnishings and the like.
Use forklift, pulleys, and other lift equipment as necessary to move and position parts and materials.
Detect and report faulty equipment, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.
Setup and operate grinders, drill presses, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.
Perform duties of electric/acetylene welding and torch cutting.
Has the authority to stop the process if a safety or a quality issue arises in order to inform supervision to make a decision.
Observe all prescribed environmental, health and safety rules & regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition. Exercise proper care and safety in the use of power tools, equipment and materials.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
Collaborate with production staff to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
