Provide high-quality maintenance services throughout the senior living community, ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for residents aged 65+. Receive, assess, and prioritize work orders using a critical-path approach—addressing urgent safety or comfort-related issues first while managing routine maintenance efficiently. Perform general maintenance repairs, including: Drywall patching, repair, and finishing Basic to intermediate electrical work (outlets, fixtures, switches, troubleshooting) Basic plumbing repairs (leaks, clogs, fixture replacements) Troubleshoot and respond to IT-related work orders, including connectivity issues, basic device setup, resident technology support, and coordination with external IT vendors as needed. Complete apartment turnovers (unit flips) by preparing vacated units for new residents—painting, repairs, detailed cleaning, and ensuring all systems are functioning properly. Conduct routine preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and life-safety components to ensure continuous operation and compliance with regulatory standards. Document work performed accurately and timely in maintenance management systems. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, including after-hours needs on a rotating on-call schedule. Collaborate effectively with leadership, nursing, caregivers, and housekeeping staff to support resident needs and community operations. Interact with residents in a compassionate, patient, and respectful manner, understanding the unique needs of older adults and providing service with dignity and kindness. Maintain safe work practices, tools, and equipment, and follow all community safety and infection control policies.
