Performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles; performs routine grounds keeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape; performs minor plumbing and carpentry repair work. Maintenance (45%) Performs routine building maintenance activities; performs minor plumbing repairs require by leaking faucets and clogged toilets; performs carpentry work required to repair dents and/or holes in and paints walls. Performs preventative maintenance of The Salvation Army vehicles; monitors and replenishes all fluid levels. Drives truck in order to pick up materials and repair items needed for maintenance work. Maintains the grounds to include mowing grass, trimming hedges, blowing leaves and collecting debris; maintains the beautification of the grounds. Maintains all tools, supplies, parts, and equipment belonging to the Maintenance Department Assembles and moves office furniture including chairs, desks, tables, bulletin boards, etc. Monitors lighting and changes light bulbs when needed. Monitors activities and visitors of building and grounds to ensure security Cleaning (45%) Performs snow removal as needed Cleans surrounding after each repair job; ensures that all tools are collected, and surroundings are left neat and clean. Sweeps, vacuums, strips, mops, and washes floors; sweeps sidewalks. Other Responsibilities (10%) Cleans the kitchen and dining area Performs other duties as assigned.
