About The Position

Ice Maintenance Operate ice resurfacing equipment (Zamboni or Olympia) to clean and resurface the ice sheet before, during, and after sessions. Monitor ice quality and make adjustments to water levels, blade depth, and edging as needed. Perform edging, shaving, and patching to maintain ice integrity. Maintain logs of resurfacings, ice temps, and equipment maintenance. Facility Operations & Maintenance Perform general maintenance tasks such as cleaning locker rooms, lobbies, restrooms, and player benches. Monitor building systems (lighting, refrigeration, HVAC, and fire alarms) and report issues to management. Assist with snow removal from ice resurfacer bays and outdoor walkways. Support setup and breakdown for events, games, or rentals. Equipment Care Conduct pre- and post-use checks on the ice resurfacer. Clean, refuel, and safely store equipment after each use. Assist with routine maintenance or minor repairs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort with machinery.
Ability to follow safety protocols and operate equipment responsibly.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Prior experience operating a Zamboni or Olympia resurfacer.
Knowledge of ice refrigeration systems.
Forklift or other machinery operation experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work in cold environments and on wet/slippery surfaces.
Stand, walk, bend, and operate machinery for extended periods.
