About The Position
The Full-Time Maintenance Working Foreman oversees and participates in the day-to-day custodial and grounds maintenance operations at both Haverhill and Lawrence campuses. This includes supervision of facilities employees engaged in the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of the college property and related structures and/or college facility systems. The position performs daily inspections of employees' work to ensure it meets NECC cleanliness and sanitation standards while maintaining records of work programs, materials, and equipment used. The foreman coordinates daily with the Assistant Director of Facilities Operations and fellow maintenance working foreman to discuss corrective and preventative maintenance work orders, event setups, and deep cleaning activities. The role actively contributes to the improvement of the department and offers recommendations for departmental policy and procedure changes as well as staffing needs as time progresses. Additionally, the foreman assists management in the hiring, training, and employee development of all custodial staff and tests and recommends the need for new equipment.
