About The Position

We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled Full-Time Maintenance Technician to manage the comprehensive upkeep of our facilities, grounds, and vehicle fleet. This dynamic role requires a hands-on professional with a strong background in general maintenance, construction trades, vehicle mechanics, groundskeeping, and basic electrical/plumbing repairs. The ideal candidate will be a reliable self-starter committed with a basic knowledge of computers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant technical certifications or trade school diplomas are a significant advantage.
Proven experience in a general maintenance, construction, plumbing or handyman role.
Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in basic plumbing and light electrical repairs.
Experience in groundskeeping and using associated equipment.
Basic mechanical skills with experience in vehicle and small engine maintenance/repair.
Proficiency with a wide variety of power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently as well as work as part of a team.
Physical stamina to perform strenuous manual labor, including heavy lifting (up to 100+ pounds), climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
Snow removal experience preferred
Black Seal Low Pressure boiler operator license or the ability to obtain one
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
Certification of good health
Valid Driver's License
Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Nice To Haves

Experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance work preferred
Small engine repair experience

Responsibilities

General Facilities Maintenance & Construction: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on buildings. This includes minor construction tasks such as painting, finishing work, and general structural repairs.
Plumbing Repairs: Safely troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing issues, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, repairing/replacing faucets, and maintaining plumbing fixtures.
Light Electrical Work: Perform basic electrical tasks such as replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures.
Groundskeeping: Assist groundskeeper with seasonal landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanups (leaf removal, snow/ice removal). Operate and maintain associated grounds equipment.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance on company vehicles and equipment (buses, trucks, mowers, etc.), including fluid checks, oil changes, and minor mechanical repairs.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, especially concerning construction sites, electrical work, plumbing systems, and hazardous material handling.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance performed and work orders completed.
