About The Position

This position will maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the building, including cleaning patient rooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning methods.
• Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner.
• Ability to work in culturally and racially diverse populations and in lower socio-economic conditions.
• Ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization.
• High school diploma or equivalent OR a combination of education and related work experience preferred.
• 0 to 1 year of related experience.
• Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources.
• Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.
• El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service.
• To receive mileage reimbursement, the employee must log their mileage and submit the mileage expense report to their Appropriate Administrator.
• Walking, talking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds; hand and wrist dexterity to utilize a computer.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Empty trash cans and place trash in the dumpster.
• Wash the interior of the windows.
• Dust and wax furniture.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms; restock paper goods.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when items are needed.
• Close the facility at night and set security alarms as appropriate.
• Perform minor building maintenance.
• Notify the supervisor of building repairs that are needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
