About The Position

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of building facilities, grounds, and fire protection systems. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs, supporting fire protection inspections, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (Preferred)
  • Minimum of one (1) year of general maintenance or related experience (Preferred)
  • Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems and software
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, submittals, manuals, and technical documents
  • Physical capability to perform work at heights (up to 40 feet), in confined spaces, or in various weather conditions
  • General understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and construction practices
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to be available for on-call assignments and emergencies
  • Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, stoop, bend, and perform manual tasks with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Proficiency with common office equipment and programs, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe working environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine building and grounds maintenance, including repairs and general property upkeep.
  • Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire protection equipment.
  • Accurately document inspections, tests, and deficiencies discovered during assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety procedures at all times.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for fire protection and maintenance emergencies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and safe condition.
  • Attend training sessions as needed to maintain certifications and expand skills.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and a proactive approach to personal and organizational growth.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
