Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Job Summary Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Worker responsible for the general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of parish buildings and grounds while supporting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment consistent with the mission of the Catholic Church.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment
- Ability to lift, move, and perform physical labor as required
- Commitment to supporting the mission of the Catholic Church
Nice To Haves
- Previous maintenance, custodial, or facilities experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs for church, school, and parish facilities
- Maintain cleanliness of buildings, including restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Assist with room setups and breakdowns for parish events, liturgies, and meetings
- Maintain parish grounds, including lawn care, snow removal, and exterior upkeep
- Monitor and report facility issues requiring professional repair
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and policies
- Collaborate with parish staff and vendors as needed
