About The Position

Aramark Facilities Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at Kohl’s Headquarters.   This role is designed for a well-rounded, hands-on technician who is comfortable working across a variety of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance.   The ideal candidate is an independent problem solver who can identify issues, assess root causes, and take action to resolve them with minimal oversight. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, functional, and professional office environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in general building maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and basic technical instructions
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in corporate, campus, or commercial facilities environments
  • OSHA or safety certifications
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs or CMMS systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems
  • Identify issues, troubleshoot root causes, and implement effective solutions independently
  • Respond to service requests with appropriate urgency and follow through to resolution
  • Repair and replace fixtures such as toilets, sinks, valves, and piping components
  • Perform minor piping work, including replacing sections of piping within scope of training
  • Perform basic electrical work including replacing lamps, ballasts, switches, and outlets
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and within established guidelines
  • Conduct routine HVAC maintenance including filter changes and coil cleaning
  • Support overall system performance through preventative maintenance
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend asset life
  • Inspect building systems and proactively address potential issues
  • Maintain accurate work orders, logs, and maintenance records
  • Order parts and materials as needed with appropriate approvals
  • Coordinate with vendors or additional support teams when required
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Handle tools, materials, and chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines
