About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing, maintaining equipment, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems throughout LCMC. Provides onsite support for the nurse call system and fire alarm systems. Performs required fire drills throughout the facility and ensures proper documentation. The role involves taking the initiative to locate, document and repair unreported equipment/building discrepancies, performing daily preventive maintenance inspections/repairs, and investigating maintenance requests. The technician demonstrates effective judgement and decision-making skills, assures all work done by other crafts is completed in assigned areas, and demonstrates dependability by working with others to accomplish required tasks. Strong knowledge of life safety, patient safety, and infection prevention measures is essential, along with general knowledge of hospital operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • 2 or more years of related work experience.
  • Holds appropriate license(s) and certification(s).
