About The Position

Under supervision, the Maintenance Worker II performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled work to keep our facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained. This is a full-time, day shift position with a hands-on, physical work environment. On-call hours are required, including weekends and holidays

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 3 years of skilled building maintenance experience
• Proficiency with hand and power tools; working knowledge of safety regulations in skilled maintenance trades
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work cooperatively with a team
• Valid Illinois driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Reliable attendance - this is an essential requirement of the position
• This role involves frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, repeated stooping and bending, working with arms raised overhead, bilateral gripping of materials and equipment, and climbing ladders and stairs.
• Candidates must be able to perform sustained physical activity throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Carpentry & Structural - Repair and maintain buildings, furnishings, and structural facilities
• Plumbing & Electrical - Perform skilled repairs on plumbing and electrical systems
• HVAC - Conduct preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC systems
• Grounds maintenance - Maintain facility grounds and exterior areas
