This position is responsible for keeping docks, grounds and equipment in optimal operating condition, repairing when able, and recommending service calls when repair is beyond his/her ability or knowledge. Will provide maintenance and cleaning of all areas and coverage for janitorial crews scheduled time off. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Without Accommodation) : Able to read, speak and understand English in order to communicate with the public and superiors and report needed repairs. Able to jump from dock to boat and back. Able to swim because the majority of the work is around the water. Able to lift 70 pounds to a 45-inch height and carry it 100 yards. Able to perform necessary functions to resolve an oil spill. Able to work a forty- (40) hour work week, and in some cases over-time. Able to work weekends. Able to work outside in all types of weather. EQUIPMENT TO BE USED : City Vehicles, basic hand and power tools (to be supplied by employer), cleaning equipment and hand-held radios. ENVIRONMENT : Inside and outside marina and other areas as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Standing 10% Climbing 15% Bending 20% Reaching 10% Walking 20% Lifting 20% Swimming 5%
