About The Position

Campbell County is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker II to join our team. The shift is Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. Performs with excellence, the following tasks, including but not limited to: Performs or assists with routine maintenance of buildings and grounds such as: painting, minor electrical, plumbing, repairing windows, hanging doors, replacing locks, repairing and/or replacing sidewalks, patching and repairing roofs, carpentry, cabinetry, etc.; Moves equipment, supplies, and furniture as requested; Cuts grass, weed eats, prunes bushes, and rakes leaves, as required; Provide support for County events; Shovels and pushes snow and applies chemicals to walkways as necessary; Replace light bulbs and light fixtures as necessary; Performs other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
One year of related experience
Valid Virginia Driver’s License and insurable under County’s Policy.
Requires completion of National Incident Management System IS-700 and IS-100 within 90 days of employment.
One additional year of experience for a total of 2;
Knowledge of basic safety as it relates to maintenance;
Ability to safely operate grass cutting equipment;
Basic working knowledge of hand and power tools;
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time;
Basic understanding and ability to utilize the county’s adopted software platform.
