MAINTENANCE WORKER II
About The Position
Performs semiskilled manual labor in a variety of maintenance and landscape duties. Mows grass, trims hedges, rakes, and loads leaves/brush; maintains grounds as directed; performs basic preventive maintenance on equipment. Fertilizes plants and trees; loads and unloads plants and debris into trucks; plants trees, shrubs, flowers, and lays sod; prunes and shapes trees and hedges; removes weeds and trash from plant beds. Work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion, for adherence to instructions and conformance with established standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in laboring work, providing a familiarity with landscape maintenance.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.
- Must obtain a FL Class B CDL Permit within 90 days of hire and obtain a FL Class B CDL with Air Brakes/Tanker Endorsements within 180 days of appointment.
- Requires successful completion of DHS Criminal History Records Check and Security Threat Assessment prior to appointment and the ability to maintain these clearances as a condition of employment.
- Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate.
