About The Position
The position involves various maintenance tasks in carpentry, general maintenance, and construction work. Responsibilities include erecting and repairing guard rails, highway markers, and snow fences using hand tools, nails, and power tools. Seasonal duties include snow removal for designated roads and neighborhood side streets. The role also encompasses road grading, pothole patching, and cement and asphalt work, as well as working on mowing, chipping, and ditching crews. Additional responsibilities include repairing and rebuilding catch basins and other structures such as manholes, adhering to safety standards for the operation and maintenance of all City-owned equipment, and hauling various materials while picking up refuse including dirt, debris, trash, and dead animals. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
