About The Position
Maintenance Worker, under the general supervision of the Foreman, performs maintenance of park landscaping and general park maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related field
- Valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years of experience in landscape/horticulture field
- Prior experience operating basic landscaping equipment including truck, trailer, pruning and power equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Horticulture Crew Lead in the proper maintenance of landscaped areas
- Inspects, repairs, and maintains playground fixtures, signage, pavilions, trash cans and other park amenities
- Occasionally spray herbicides or apply fertilizer under direct supervision of a licensed applicator
- Assists with preparation of special events to include set-up, staging, and clean-up
- Performs and documents regular vehicle and equipment inspections
- Completes and submits required paperwork in Maint Trac
- Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
