This position is located at Warm Springs Wildlife Management Area. This is a seasonal position beginning in April and ending in September. Warm Springs WMA is located near the cities of Anaconda and Butte, both have a rich history and many outdoor recreational opportunities. This position offers the opportunity to work outside on some of Montana's most diverse WMAs. The Maintenance Worker 1 position is part of the Parks and Outdoor Recreation Division and a member of the regional maintenance team that includes the Regional Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Team Supervisor, Maintenance Workers 1 & 2, and Groundskeepers. The position reports to the Maintenance Team Supervisor in an assigned geographic area and performs a wide variety of semi-skilled or manual work. This may include repairing, maintaining, and improving existing habitat areas and vegetation as well as grounds and facilities at state parks, fishing access sites, wildlife management areas, and administrative facilities. This position may be assigned to multiple geographic units or be called upon to assist with, collaborate on, or share maintenance functions of another geographic unit as circumstances require.
