About The Position

Kraft Heinz - Winchester Maintenance Utility Tech Job Description Department: Maintenance Position Type: Hourly Hourly Wage: $39.73 Function: Maintenance The statements included in this Position Description reflect, in general, the duties and responsibilities of this position and are not to be interpreted as being all inclusive. The focus should be on the position and not the current incumbent. Essential duties and responsibilities: 1. Proven ability in Plant Utilities Maintenance 2. Mechanical and electrical experience required 3. Must be proactive with preventive maintenance and is able to troubleshoot and tackle breakdowns 4. Operates and maintains industrial boilers 5. Knowledge of industrial boilers water chemistry 6. Operates and maintains industrial HVAC systems, air compressors, pumps, chillers 7. Reads and understands blueprints and CAD drawings 8. SAP, Contract Bids, and Purchase Order generation 9. Operates power tools, hand tools and electrical test equipment 10. Operates trade specific tools including but not limited to micrometers, calipers and Vernier’s This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document. Proficiencies/ABILITIES: These are key observable/measurable skills, knowledge and behaviors required that contribute to successful performance in the position. (e.g., contribute to results, customer focus, etc.). 11. Safety Awareness – Being aware of conditions that affect employee safety. 12. Adaptability – Maintaining efficiency when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting optimally to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures. 14. Teamwork/Collaboration – Working optimally with team/work group or those outside the formal line of authority (e.g., peers, senior managers) to accomplish interpersonal goals; taking actions that respect the needs and contributions of others; giving to and accepting the consensus; subordinating own objectives to the objectives of the organization or team. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Understand and follow company and site policies and procedures on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Hold Tags, HACCP, USDA, Foreign Objects, Safety and Security. Physical Considerations: 1. Requires frequent walking and extended periods of standing 2. Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. 3. Ability to climb 4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (steel-toed shoes, hair and beard nets, bump caps, gloves, eye protection, aprons etc.) 5. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment 6. Environmental Considerations: 7. Non-temperature-controlled environment 8. Work-Life Balance Considerations: 9. May be requested work occasional overtime (including weekends) 10. Requirements
