About The Position

8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings' private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Prefers high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prefers maintenance or mechanical experience.
• Prefers janitorial/sanitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for dust control and sanitation services for the Maintenance department.
• Effectively use tools and equipment required to perform Maintenance I Utility skill requirements.
• Maintain cleaning and sanitation documentation for maintenance department & general organization of the maintenance areas using the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Assist with cleaning other areas during press and packaging preventive maintenance when equipment is down and available.
• Effectively communicate and work with operators, supervisors, and managers in performing duties as a team and independently.
• Write in logbook a summary of daily work accomplished.
• Keep current on Plant GMP, Safety, and Food Safety training.
• Aid in planning and executing long term cleaning projects.
• Partner with company leadership to proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation.
• Follow company policy including safety, sanitation, and attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
