About The Position

The Maintenance Utility Worker position at Siemens Energy involves assisting mechanics and electricians with maintenance tasks, including machine maintenance and moves. The role requires operating and performing minor maintenance and preventive maintenance on waste management and processing equipment. Responsibilities include coolant procurement, stocking, dispensing, recycling, drum disposal, liquid waste treatment, waste sampling, and identification. The worker must coordinate group functions, maintain cleanliness in work areas, and adhere to safety rules. Additionally, the position involves tool operations for receiving, storing, identifying, and issuing materials, tools, jigs, and fixtures, as well as operating cranes and other equipment for material movement. The worker is also responsible for maintaining records as required by law or plant operation and conducting trailer operations within the plant.

Requirements

  • Must be properly trained to operate equipment such as sap sucker and pump truck.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Industrial mechanic skills preferred.
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist mechanics and electricians with maintenance tasks.
  • Operate and perform minor maintenance and preventive maintenance on waste management and processing equipment.
  • Procure, stock, dispense, and recycle coolant.
  • Dispose of drums and treat liquid waste.
  • Conduct waste sampling and identification.
  • Coordinate group functions and instruct as assigned.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly.
  • Implement safety rules in job performance.
  • Operate tools necessary for material handling.
  • Deliver materials to machines or machining centers.
  • Visually check materials against blueprints.
  • Operate cranes and other equipment for material movement.
  • Maintain records as required by law or plant operation.
  • Collect and deliver coolant and materials throughout the facility.
  • Conduct trailer operations inside and outside the plant.
