The Facilities Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department is seeking an experienced Maintenance Utility Mechanic. The current vacancy is primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment and systems. The Maintenance Utility Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, diagnosing and troubleshooting primarily HVAC/R equipment and systems, but may be assigned work maintaining, repairing, diagnosing and troubleshooting other utility, plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment and systems; and performing preventative maintenance on all equipment. We are looking for someone who: Has technical knowledge and experience in maintaining mechanical systems, especially those pertaining to HVAC/R, but including basic electricity, and plumbing; Is experienced with construction-related utility work; Has a keen eye and attention to detail; Is highly organized and able to prioritize tasks; Is committed to excellence and high quality service; Is motivated, creative and flexible; inspired to learn and seek professional development opportunities within our City; Is comfortable working independently and as part of a team; Embraces and embodies the City's Mission, Vision and Values.
