At the MK48 Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA) in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, we are supporting the U.S. Navy’s mission readiness by maintaining, reconditioning, and refurbishing MK48 torpedoes. Our team operates in a collaborative, high-accountability production environment focused on technical excellence and safety. As a Maintenance Trainer, you will: Maintain records for the Ordnance Handling Program in accordance with OPNAV INSTRUCTION 8023.24. Develop, evaluate, and deliver training curriculum in partnership with the IMA Training/Qualification Manager and Quality Branch Head. Use computer systems, multimedia projectors, and other instructional technologies to facilitate learning. Conduct engaging instruction through lectures, group-paced training, questioning techniques, and computer-based platforms. Ensure adherence to instructional standards through regular reviews and assessments. Organize and maintain training and qualification documentation. Support the IMA Safety & Security Manager and assist with preparation for audits and recertification. Mentor Ordnance Team Leads and Safety Observers to reinforce standards and support ongoing development. Motivate personnel to promote active participation in training programs. Develop and report training metrics to leadership on a regular basis. Work independently while effectively coordinating across multiple stakeholders to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
