About The Position

The position is for a full-time maintenance technician at Atrium Health Cabarrus, focusing on the Energy Plant. The role involves performing preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems, diagnosing and implementing repairs for Utility and Infrastructure Systems, and maintaining various mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems. The technician will operate and monitor advanced utility equipment and utilize building automation systems to troubleshoot issues. The job requires reading blueprints and Life Safety drawings for accurate task completion.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Trade/Tech School Trades Certificate or trades or industry recognized certification/license requiring Continuing Education Units or periodic renewal to maintain.
  • Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of technical training.
  • 4 or more years of experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight with advanced technical skills in facility maintenance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills/competency required in using and operating systems such as Microsoft Office Platform, Building Automation Systems, Pneumatic Tube Systems.
  • Clear understanding of applicable compliance codes and guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Community College/Trade school degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems.
  • Diagnoses and implements repairs for Utility and Infrastructure Systems.
  • Installs, replaces, and maintains building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and controls systems.
  • Operates and monitors advanced utility equipment (generators, plant chillers, steam boilers, fire protection systems, etc.).
  • Utilizes building automation systems to troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems.
  • Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings, and manuals for accurate task completion.
