About The Position

Tessera is seeking a dependable Maintenance Trades Helper (Electrical) to support electricians and skilled electrical staff This role assists with basic tasks that contribute to safe and efficient electrical operations, including supplying tools and materials, preparing work areas, and assisting with maintenance and repair projects. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, eager to learn, and motivated to grow within a team environment.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma/GED is .
  • 0-3 years' experience in Electrical .
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and components
  • Familiarity with electrical tools and equipment (drills, conduit benders, multimeters, etc.)
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina to lift, carry, and move electrical materials.
  • Teamwork, reliability, and willingness to learn the electrical trade.
  • Ability to work in varying environments (indoor, outdoor, confined spaces)
  • A valid state driver’s license is with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position .
  • Per our government contract, 2.7.2.6, “No employee or representative of the Contractor will be admitted to the site of work unless satisfactory proof of U.S. citizenship is furnished.”

Responsibilities

  • Assist electricians by providing tools, equipment, and materials needed for electrical tasks.
  • Prepare, clean, and maintain electrical work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Hold cables, conduit , fixtures, and tools for electricians during maintenance, installations and repairs.
  • Pull wire, run conduit, and perform other supervised tasks in support of electrical projects.
  • Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials.
  • Support troubleshooting activities by assisting electricians with testing and repair tasks.
