About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of smooth operations throughout the plant, both by resolving current issues and by preventing future issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
• Tech School / Vocational Training preferred.
• 1+ Year of experience working on die-casting machinery.
• Computer literate.
• Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
• Understanding of factory equipment (furnaces, heaters, ladles, hoists, time saver, air compressors, sump pumps, exhaust fans, vacuum systems, welding) and reparation.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read Electrical / Hydraulic Blueprints.
• Excellent at communication.
• Self-motivated.
• Bilingual English-Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Maintenance Supervisor to improve the Maintenance Department, Premises and Ground.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment with assistance in a reasonable time.
• Complete all daily assigned preventive maintenance tasks in a reasonable time.
• Install, replace, and repair motor controls, contractors, overloads, relays, and limit switches.
• Troubleshoot programs for all controllers, PLC Programs.
• Complete all paperwork and forms.
• Work with the Supervisors of different departments to improve their operations.
• Work with subcontractors to complete all projects on time.
• Work as a team player with all maintenance personnel and other departments.
• Keep informed of new technology in the maintenance field.
• Adhere to Company Policies.
