Looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician. The role involves knowledge of heating systems, refrigeration, basic electricity, and mechanics. The technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility-related equipment in compliance with all safety procedures. Additionally, the technician will support the installation of new equipment and the implementation of a preventive maintenance program. They will assist machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime and ensure all repairs are documented. Keeping management informed of any maintenance issues and completing work orders as assigned is also essential. The technician is expected to dedicate effort to safety, ensuring every employee leaves work in the same condition as they arrive. Following all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and working in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements is crucial. The technician must exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment, adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, and GMP policies and procedures, and report any nonconformity. Attendance at required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF), is mandatory. The work schedule includes on-call and weekend shifts.
