About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in the manufacturing plants. They ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and reliably to minimize production downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various temperature conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
  • Regularly inspect machinery for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
  • Run diagnostic tests to identify problems and determine the necessary course of repair.
  • Install and dismantle industrial machinery according to layout plans and blueprints.
  • Remove and replace defective parts, such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, and electrical units.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs performed, and parts replaced.
  • Adhere to all company and OSHA safety standards and regulations, including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and provide mechanical information or updates on repairs.
  • Participate in initiatives to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency through root cause analysis.
