About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join the team at our Grandview, WA plant. The technician will maintain, repair, and install plant production and/or processing equipment. You will contribute to the total efficiency and productivity of our facility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• 3+ years experience as a Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Mechanic focused on machine maintenance and repair within a manufacturing/processing or similar environment required
• Applicant must pass Welch's standard aptitude testing for this position

Nice To Haves

• Technical certifications or vocational training in mechanical maintenance preferred
• Food/beverage or CPG manufacturing experience preferred; juice blending, pasteurization, concentration and tank storage is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of production & processing machinery and equipment, including but not limited to motors, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems
• Perform root cause analysis to diagnose equipment malfunctions and identify effective solutions to reduce downtime and maintain production efficiency
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, aligned with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment documentation
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment by following proper maintenance, housekeeping and sanitation procedures in compliance with food safety and government regulations
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend modifications or upgrades to enhance equipment performance and reliability
• Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements in maintenance practices, attending training sessions and workshops as required
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of plant maintenance and productivity
