About The Position

Patrick Industries is seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians to ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in a high-volume manufacturing facility. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various hydraulic and pneumatic machinery, as well as PLC and electrical systems. The technician will also develop a preventive maintenance program and culture within the maintenance department.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with hydraulic systems
• Experience in pneumatics
• Knowledge of electronics (PLC, relay logic preferred)
• Strong mechanical ability
• Adept troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required
• Comfortable with heights

Nice To Haves

• Additional education preferred but not required
• Experience with PLCs (1 year preferred)
• Electrical experience (2 years preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge (3 years required)

Responsibilities

• Repair machinery throughout the plant
• Work in a lead capacity within the maintenance department
• Coordinate and direct manufacturing team members for efficient repairs and maintenance
• Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment and machinery
• Schedule and prioritize maintenance needs to maximize department efficiency
• Establish maintenance standards, procedures, and programs with Plant Leadership
• Design and implement a reactive maintenance log
• Propose and develop automation solutions to increase production efficiency
• Evaluate production team skills for cross-training
• Manage capital purchases and process improvements
• Maintain budget and inventory of parts
• Develop an inventory management strategy for the maintenance crib
• Implement 5S practices for a visual environment
• Purchase repair parts and maintain tool inventory
• Identify and implement safety initiatives
• Enforce safety and housekeeping practices
