We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in plastic injection molding to join our team. Under general supervision, this role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection molding machines and related equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency and workplace safety. The technician will diagnose root causes of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical skills
• Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem-solving
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associates or technical degree preferred
• Three years of experience as a Maintenance Technician
• Three years of experience with medium tonnage plastic injection molding machines preferred
• Knowledge of robot operations a plus

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and repairing equipment
• Reading and interpreting technical schematics
• Conducting root cause analyses
• Performing general maintenance duties, including light fabrication and carpentry
• Measuring and analyzing machine data
• Determining root cause of failures and recommending resolutions
• Setting, adjusting, and maintaining assigned plastic injection molding machines and equipment
• Visually inspecting and troubleshooting machines and equipment to locate cause of malfunction
• Inspecting and measuring parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems
• Performing preventative maintenance duties as assigned
• Analyzing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and operational problems in injection molding
• Fabricating and installing related trades
• Performing building maintenance and general carpentry
• Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
