About The Position

Park Marina on Lake Allatoona is looking for a qualified Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate is skilled in looking at a property and noticing what tasks need to be completed and can prioritize them accordingly. Compensation would be commiserated with experience. Positions requires Monday through Friday work 8am-4:30pm. Weekend work would only be required if there is storm damage and the marina or docks must be secured.

Requirements

• Working inside as well as outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Aspects of position may require working in extreme temperatures.
• Working in small, confined areas in awkward positions is required.
• Physical activities include walking, talking, seeing, hearing, reaching, holding, grasping, feeling, stooping, bending, crawling, stretching, lifting, and kneeling.
• Considerable dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrists is required.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods is required.
• Ability to lift and carry 50-100 pounds.
• Ability to use body members, hand tools or other devices to lift, hold and carry materials.
• Ability to swim.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge (of electrical systems, plumbing systems, advanced carpentry, HVAC, etc.) to diagnose systems, approaching mechanical challenges from a logical perspective.
• Make repairs as assigned while working efficiently with strong attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Always maintain all equipment in top condition to ensure that safety standards are met and to prolong equipment life.
• Consistently assess work areas for safety concerns. Raise all concerns to the appropriate individual and follow-up to ensure that all are resolved.
• Skill in the proper and safe use of all tools, materials, chemicals, and products relating to the department.
• Strong verbal and written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to utilize these skills to maintain positive relations with Team Members and Guests.
