About the position

The Maintenance Technician skilled requirements within the apartment community include HVAC repairs, plumbing repairs, carpentry, painting, electrical/appliance work, and machinery maintenance. Most importantly, the ability to provide exceptional customer service is crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Perform HVAC repairs, cleaning, and replacements.
  • Conduct plumbing repairs and installations (sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.).
  • Repair and install carpentry items such as doors, shelves, countertops, and locks.
  • Carry out drywall/plaster repairs and painting.
  • Handle electrical work including lighting, wiring, power circuits, and replacing switches and lamps.
  • Repair and maintain machinery such as chillers, belts, pumps, and fans.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
  • High School Diploma/GED required; 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements.
  • Preferred certifications include HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing.
  • Valid driver's license may be required depending on property needs.
  • Required skills: self-motivated, team-player, communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a similar maintenance role.
  • Additional certifications in related fields.
