Requirements

• Mechanical knowledge of how equipment works
• Electrical knowledge of single and three phase power
• Basic computer and tablet skills are a must
• 2-5 years experience in a food manufacturing facility is strongly recommended
• Education and/or experience in mechanical work is preferred
• Experience with large ammonia refrigeration systems would be a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational inspections of equipment prior to use
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures
• Repair and replace equipment as needed or as scheduled by your supervisor
• Conduct regularly scheduled preventative maintenance service on machines and equipment assigned to you by your supervisor
• Respond to calls for assistance with unplanned machine breakdowns from department supervisors
• Perform any and all other duties that might be assigned by your supervisor
