About The Position
The Maintenance Technician position at MS Companies in Frankfort, IN, is a critical role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of various mechanical and electrical systems within the facility. The technician will work primarily during the evening shift from 4:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with eligibility for overtime. The pay range for this position is between $24.00 and $27.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour shift premium. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotic weld cells, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as addressing general facility maintenance issues. In addition to technical skills, the technician will be expected to perform routine preventative maintenance on various machines, including air compressors, boilers, and presses. The job may require working in confined spaces and at heights, necessitating the use of ladders and various types of lifts. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining small pneumatic tools and completing daily shift notes on all line calls, projects, and preventative maintenance tasks. A strong emphasis is placed on compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as effective communication with both internal and external customers. Candidates for this position should possess a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree preferred. The role demands excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to providing exemplary customer service. The technician must be able to work independently and complete assignments within the parameters of given instructions and accepted practices. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and maintain regular attendance.
