About The Position

The position involves maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery found in various locations including cafeterias, laundries, offices, dorms, and warehouses. Major repairs are to be performed by a licensed contractor. The role requires emergency after-hours work as needed, and the shift or schedule may change as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, a/c, and machine equipment repair
• G.E.D or High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with vulnerable populations
• Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or English and Creole preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment
• Ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
• Perform a daily inspection of the facility grounds, dorms and offices
• Complete daily duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
