About The Position

The Maintenance Technician role at the Frankfort, IN location will be working primarily on machinery and troubleshooting on production lines working collaboratively in an innovative, team orientated environment. This is a 2nd shift opportunity on-site position; schedule hours are M-F 2:30 pm-10:30 pm. Training will take place on 1st shift maximum lasting 6 months. Requirements

  • Read blueprints and schematics
  • Understand refrigeration, air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment
  • Understand P.L.C. concepts
  • Exhibit knowledge of industrial electric symbols and line diagrams, control logic-line diagrams, AC/DC motors, motor starters and motor controllers
  • Maintain consistent high quality in work habits, accurate records
  • A combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma, or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of trade school or qualified work experience

Responsibilities

  • Arc and gas welding, cutting, brazing, silver and soft soldering
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping) for machines and buildings
  • Troubleshoot electrical A/C and D/C circuits using electrical metering equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems
  • Use basic shop tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, grinders, etc.
  • Install and relocate equipment
  • Maintain preventative maintenance programs in assigned areas as well as buildings and grounds as needed
  • Repair production equipment with minimal interruption to production
  • Locate and help maintain maintenance inventory through the use of a computerized inventory system
  • Inspect, dismantle, service, reassemble, test and adjust equipment of all types for safe and proper operation
  • Notify Maintenance Systems Administrator of any malfunctioning equipment or machine deficiencies
  • Provide positive feedback for corrective action plans to improve equipment reliability, maintaining a positive working relationship with all Donaldson employees
  • Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Using all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required
