About the position

Ocean Spray is Now Hiring Maintenance Technicians at the Lehigh Valley facility. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the team at our high-speed beverage manufacturing facility. The 300,000 square foot Lehigh Valley plant has (4) production lines with volumes up to 40 million cases per year. This represents more than 45% of Ocean Spray's North American volume and is operated with a workforce of approximately 190 team members. Maintenance Technician's start at $36.45 per hour. This position is on a 2-2-3 Shift. We are currently hiring for both day shift and night shift positions. We're an iconic brand and a farmer-owned cooperative. Responsibilities

  • Perform regular and preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance on equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime.
  • Support line operations, assisting with problems on the line, rework, coverage, troubleshooting, and line relief as needed.
  • Answer line calls and support operators.
  • Support changeovers to ensure that they are performed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Train operators and other mechanics in all aspects of electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance and operation.
  • Follow LOTO (Lock-out/Tag-out) procedures.
  • Rebuild parts, fabricate materials, and update prints to maintain and upgrade equipment as required.
  • Take corrective action as required by initiated work orders through the Maximo System or as circumstances dictate and write new work orders to account for unplanned corrective maintenance time.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, ladder diagrams, and exploded parts diagrams.
  • Initiate purchase of required tools, parts, and materials and maintain accountability for tools issued.
  • Use proper lock-out/tag-out, confined space, and hot works permit to maintain a safe environment and comply with EHS regulatory procedures.
  • Upgrade skills and knowledge as equipment and technology develop.
  • Perform Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and deep cleans.
  • Ensure adherence to the NEC (National Electric Code) and the NFPA code in all work performed.
  • Work with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controls) and ladder logic.
  • Keep area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Safely and competently operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and walk-behind lifts (certification required).
  • Complete all paperwork as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bottling and manufacturing experience, a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalency
