About The Position

Sawgrass Country Club is seeking a skilled, self-sufficient Maintenance Technician with experience in commercial facilities and commercial kitchen equipment . This role supports daily operations, preventive maintenance, and emergency response across multiple buildings and food-service areas. This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must be comfortable troubleshooting and repairing systems independently in active operational environments. This is a full-time, hands-on role with regular hours Monday through Friday, plus a shift every third Sunday.

Requirements

3+ years of facilities or maintenance experience.
EPA 608 Certification (Type I or Universal).
Proven experience working on commercial kitchen or food-service equipment .
Working knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and basic electrical systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Trade certifications or formal technical training is preferred.
Experience in hospitality, clubs, resorts, healthcare, or commercial facilities is preferred.
CMMS experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on: Building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, hardware)
Commercial kitchen equipment , including ovens, ranges, fryers, grills, steamers, dishwashers, ice machines, and walk-in coolers/freezers
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues.
Respond to service calls and equipment failures promptly.
Perform general facility repairs.
Identify failing equipment and recommend repair vs. replacement.
Document work orders and preventive maintenance using CMMS software.
Follow all safety, health, and food-service compliance standards.
