About The Position

At EGA Spectro Alloys, a high-volume aluminum recycling operation, our production depends on conveyors, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and heavy equipment. When maintenance runs strong, production runs strong. We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined team member to support plant reliability and ensure our equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of mechanical experience or related background
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or basic electrical troubleshooting preferred
• Comfortable working in varied temperatures, including heat and cold
• Strong attendance and time management skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
• Must be at least 18 years old

Nice To Haves

• Industrial or manufacturing experience
• Experience in recycling, foundry, aggregate, mining, or heavy production environments
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair motors, conveyors, and production systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems with support from the team
• Inspect and test equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine safety checks
• Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems
• Use hand tools and shop equipment to complete repairs
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Production teams to minimize downtime
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
