About The Position

Apartment Maintenance Technician at La Hacienda Apartments At Gaines Investment Trust, we take pride in offering our residents comfortable, well-maintained apartment homes. We are seeking a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team at La Hacienda and provide exceptional service to our residents. What You Will Do: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks within occupied apartment units and common areas. Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs. Complete work orders promptly and efficiently. Conduct preventative maintenance. Assist with the turnover process for vacant units, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of pools, common areas, and grounds. Communicate effectively with residents to address maintenance requests and provide updates. Coordinate with property management to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks. Collaborate with maintenance teams/vendors and contractors for specialized repairs. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies. Perform other assigned tasks. What You Will Bring: Previous experience (1+ years) in apartment maintenance. Currently resides within the area, or a 20-minute commute. Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical, and gas water heaters and fireplaces. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Basic computer skills for recording and tracking maintenance activities. Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects, climb stairs, and perform manual labor. Strong work ethic A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. HVAC certification is a plus! Requirements

  • Previous experience (1+ years) in apartment maintenance.
  • Currently resides within the area, or a 20-minute commute.
  • Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical, and gas water heaters and fireplaces.
