We are hiring for Maintenance Tech with food manufacturing experience on our 1st shift. You will report to the shift supervisor and join a team of 235 plus team member. You will work onsite at our Food manufacturing plant is located in Kent WA.

Requirements

  • Must follow all plant work, safety, food safety, and GMP standards.
  • Meet internal/external customer expectations through teamwork, respect, and a willingness to help and support others.
  • Must maintain a good working relationship with all other departments and other maintenance shifts.
  • Work in temperatures ranging from 125°F to +/- 20°, averaging 85°F.
  • Communicate to all levels.
  • 2 years previous experience in electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatic and ammonia refrigeration in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Refrigeration operator's license.
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant trade or technical school training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair all aspects of production line equipment including cookers, wrappers, conveyors.
  • Will work all craft specialties, including electrical, welding, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic and structural.
  • Repair or replace defective parts on equipment.
  • Dismantle machinery to access part(s) needing repair replaces/repairs defective parts and reassemble machinery.
  • Lubricates and cleans working mechanisms on production equipment.
  • Respond to urgent needs to keep the production lines running.
  • Perform plant inspections on fire systems, storage freezers, refrigeration system, and record information into daily summaries.
  • Perform preventative maintenance work on equipment and ensure completion of work orders.
  • You will work varying hours and shifts, including overtime and weekends, to accommodate the production deadlines.
  • Must maintain regular attendance.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Other maintenance responsibilities as assigned.
