About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the mechanical and structural systems of the facility. This role ensures that buildings remain safe, functional, and well-maintained by responding promptly to maintenance requests and performing preventative upkeep.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with general carpentry (framing, drywall, painting, doors, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of plumbing systems
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems (outlets, switches, light fixtures)
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and others, both verbally and in writing
  • Frequently lift up to 50 lbs from floor to shoulder height
  • Regularly crouch, bend, and stoop to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Frequently use hands to grasp tools and cleaning equipment (mops, brooms, etc.)
  • Push and pull up to 15 lbs while performing tasks such as vacuuming
  • Ability to reach overhead storage areas
  • Stand for extended periods throughout the workday

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on structural and mechanical systems
  • Complete minor repairs in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (e.g., toilet clogs, washers/dryers, furniture)
  • Set up and move office furniture, including desks, tables, and chairs
  • Inspect and repair electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, and other building systems
  • Perform general carpentry work, including framing, drywall, and painting
  • Maintain grounds, including snow removal
  • Clean and maintain common areas
  • Maintain and care for mechanical tools and equipment
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance as needed
  • Respond to work orders in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to support facility needs
  • Assist with building remodels and updates
  • Coordinate and work with outside vendors on maintenance-related projects
  • Support overall facility operations as part of the team
  • Assist with housekeeping, kitchen duties, and light maintenance as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
