About The Position

Work Schedule: 100% FTE, Days. Hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday with a weekly rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison, WI. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to: Maintain heating and air conditioning equipment, emergency power systems, medical gas distribution and supply systems, food service equipment, and hospital life support systems for direct and indirect patient use. Perform diagnosis and repair equipment in emergency situations, monitor and make adjustments to the building(s) environment and lighting using a computerized building automation system and monitor and make adjustments to computerized, intelligent fire alarm systems. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Valid Driver’s License Required
  • 2 years of maintenance experience or formal training

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) year Technical diploma Preferred
  • 2 years of maintenance experience or formal training, in a healthcare setting Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain heating and air conditioning equipment
