This position requires traveling to the Carolina Health Centers sites in the following counties: Abbeville, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, and Saluda. GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities owned or leased by Carolina Health Centers, Inc. (CHC). The Maintenance Technician will act as the contact for emergency situations that affect CHC’s ability to open for business. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will assess and consider daily the safety of our employees, the security of our assets, and the service to our patients. This position will coordinate outside contractors or vendors for various services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Acts as the primary contact for all site maintenance issues (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies, and repairs) Monitors contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies on a 24-hour basis Monitors and replace light bulbs in all facilities as needed Make minor plumbing repairs as needed Coordinates and assists with departmental and employee moves Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrical contractor is required Hangs pictures and shelving as needed Dismantles and installs furniture as needed Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager Must be able to work flexible hours REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Responsible to: Directly supervised by Facilities Manager Workers supervised: None Interrelationships: Interacts with all levels of staff across divisional and developmental lines as needed This job description is not designed to cover or contain an exhaustive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
