About The Position

As a Hotel Maintenance Technician for the Springhill Suites Memphis Downtown, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the functionality and appearance of our property. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and addressing any guest or facility-related issues promptly. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a relevant field preferred. - Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment. - Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. - Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. - Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings. - Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and climbing. Work Schedule: This position may require flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the hotel's operational needs

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions or guest-reported issues promptly and effectively.
  • Guest Service: Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, providing courteous and efficient service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and inventory to facilitate tracking and reporting.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments and external vendors for specialized repairs or projects, ensuring seamless operations.
