Maintenance Technician needed!
About The Position
Maintain multiple houses and vehicles by way of performing routine maintenance duties that typically include preventative services, such as: · Completing basic maintenance requests · Maintain smoke and carbon monoxide detectors · Perform basic HVAC maintenance & cleaning · Cleaning dryer vents · Cleaning gutters · Spreading ice melt & shovel snow · Maintaining company vehicles · Caulking bathrooms & kitchens · Painting interior and exterior · Mowing and trimming lawns · Killing weeds · Manage landscaping Assignments will be communicated through electronic maintenance requests, facility checks, or verbal communication. BUSINESS OPERATIONS · Perform preventative maintenance in and around various houses to minimize the risk of future problems · Detect and report the needs of major maintenance repairs · Painting interior or exterior of houses when needed · Maintain yards and landscaping as well as decks and fences · Fixing or reporting any safety hazards to avoid injuries · Provide tenants and staff with support for maintaining equipment in the home · Perform minor and routine maintenance on company vehicles PHYSICAL DEMANDS · Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, grasp, and pinch for extended periods of time · Lift and/or move up to 50 - 100 pounds · Regularly use various sized manual or power tools · Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing MEETINGS · Attend meetings as scheduled
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- One year of general home maintenance or related field
- Ability to work independently, manage time well, and be self-motivated
- Valid Driver's license and an insured vehicle
- Reliable vehicle, used daily
- Clean Background check with FCSR
- Ability to earn certifications in CPR, 1stAid, Abuse and Neglect Prevention, other agency trainings as assigned
- Own tools needed for basic home repair
- Creative thinking, detail oriented and problem-solving abilities
- Strong understanding of safety
- Organized with good communication skills
- Ability to plan and adjust as needed
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be able to pass Family Care Safety Registry and criminal background check
