About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems. Assignments are based on the individual’s experience, training, and demonstrated capability. Work is directed by the Production Manager and may include scheduled or unscheduled tasks in support of production and facility needs. This role is ideal for someone who sees the opportunity to take ownership of maintenance operations across the facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the reliability and performance of critical equipment and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, including wiring and component troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and temperature-measuring devices.
  • Basic proficiency in math.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and move for extended periods.
  • Frequent reaching, lifting, and handling of parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring hand dexterity.
  • Normal visual and auditory acuity.
  • Must be able to navigate around equipment and obstacles safely.
  • High school diploma, GED, or recognized equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance or similar role.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with lathe operation or maintenance, and general facility upkeep, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on production machinery and facility systems.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities as outlined in the PM schedule.
  • Assist with the entry and updating of maintenance work orders in the system.
  • Respond to and follow up on maintenance requests submitted by machine operators or production supervisors.
  • Maintain facility equipment, including electrical systems, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical fixtures.
  • Support safe installation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Coordinate with supervisors to schedule maintenance on production tooling and machinery to reduce downtime.
  • Direct and support coworkers on electrical safety and proper maintenance practices.
  • Assist with training team members on Zero Energy State (ZES)/Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ensure tools, materials, and supplies are properly stored and organized.
  • Keep maintenance areas clean and safe in accordance with housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Comply with all safety policies and demonstrate safe work habits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
