The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping all mechanical equipment in good repair by providing daily maintenance. The Maintenance Engineer must perform routine preventative maintenance duties, be willing to train and assist others, analyze problems and formulate plans, coordinate with outside vendors as needed, read and interpret documents such as the maintenance manual and forms, and continually support and improve the maintenance issues that address both the staff and guests. While performing duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, talk, hear, and be on their feet for long periods of time. The associate is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or use a ladder. The position does require close vision, distance vision, reasonable color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The maintenance engineer must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and sometimes more. Must have a valid drivers license, Proof of insurance and pass as approved driver. Maintenance Manual, the essential duties and responsibilities will change with demand and happenings at the hotel on any given day. Other duties may be assigned.
